Serial Number Example: 01001NX191 This would be a Gold 10 ga., manufactured in 1993 with the serial number 01001. 1994-1997 The Gold family of 12 and 20 ga. shotguns was introduced in 1994. They are produced in Belgium and used the following serial number configuration until 1998. 1. Gold Type F51=Gold 12 ga. Hunter FT1= Gold 12 ga. Sporting Clays F61=Gold 20 ga. Hunter 2. Serial Number Example: F51NW01001 This would be a Gold 12 ga. Hunter, manufactured in 1994 with the serial number 01001. 1998 In 1998 Browning redid the standardization of its serial number identifications to work with its new data base program, Oracle.
