Technical Specifications

Only "New Style" Browning A-5 Breech Blocks are available for all gauges. It is important to note that the A-5 has two different styles of Breech Block, the "Old Style" and the "New Style" On guns manufactured prior to 1958 (Old Style), it is necessary to replace the Breech Block, Locking Block, the Left Hand Extractor and Extractor Spring. This is due to a dimensional change in the Breech Block track (See images below) Any A-5 manufactured after 1958, the part can be used as is but will require fitting.
