Description: Heckler And Koch HK 416 / MR556 Tungsten Filled Recoil Buffer. Constructed from steel with a tungsten core, this factory original part from H&K is made in Germany and designed for HK HK416 and MR556 rifle models chambered in .223 Rem / 5.56x45mm as well as the AR-15 platform. The buffer sits within the buffer tube and compresses the recoil spring to mitigate recoil as the rifle is fired. Heckler & Koch is world renowned for their high quality firearms and parts. At some point, HK switched making the steel body buffer and replaced them with an aluminum body buffer. The part number also changed from 203570 to 50203570. The buffer that I got was the newer aluminum body buffer, P/N 50203570. That being said, this is a genuine HK buffer with albeit no cage code, it is tungsten filled, and weighs somewhere between a standard H2 and H3 buffer. The red dot has be omitted from the buffer face as well. I would have preferred the steel body version, but this one will work just fine for what I need.
