Description: DPMS AR-10 .308 Carbine Buffer Tube Assembly. Featuring steel and aluminum assembled components, this .308 carbine buffer tube assembly is manufactured by DPMS for the AR-10 rifle platform. This kit includes a commercial-sized carbine buffer tube, buffer spring, and a 3.8oz buffer for the use with a collapsible stock on your .308 carbine. The aluminum tube is crafted from quality black anodized aluminum. This assembly works great as a replacement piece or for the next custom workshop project.

Commercial Spec Buffer Tube

Thankfully a previous reviewer noted that this is a Commercial Spec Buffer Tube. That information is omitted from the listing specifications. It makes a difference because it really limits the options for Butt Stocks as most are Mil-Spec. I went with it anyway as I have and older DPMS LR-308 with a fixed A2 Butt Stock I'm replacing with an adjustable Stock. I wanted to stay with DPMS as I've read about too many compatibility issues with Buffer Tubes, springs and weights. Hopefully this combination from DPMS will function properly with my 308 out of the box as I really don't want a Buffer science project.

Everything is built very well, however, this is a commercial spec buffer tube. I didn't see that specified anywhere. This is more of an issue with the website and not the product.
