This screw measures .502" OAL and is the same length as the stainless steel version S&W part# 072280000. I tried using it but was not comfortable with how much deflection it put on the mainspring. So instead I used the shorter version of this screw (MGW SKU#15580000) in my S&W 625 JM .45ACP revolver and that seems to work very nicely. I am also using a Wolff power rib main spring (type 1 standard power) in this gun for reliable ignition. I am keeping this screw as a spare part, just in case.
