Descripton: Mossberg MVP Thread Protector, 7.62 Action. Knurled for an easy grip, this matte blued steel thread protector will fit all MVP 7.62 Action rifles chambered in 7.62mm NATO / .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor caliber. With a 5/8" x 24 TPI thread pitch, the protective cap protects the MVP barrel's threads during transport, storage or operation when a muzzle device is not in use.

I bought this item to replace the missing original one on my rifle. It worked perfectly and protects the barrel threads as intended.
