Descripton: Apex Smith and Wesson J Frame Duty/Carry Kit. Manufacturer: Apex Tactical. Specs: The Apex Smith and Wesson J-Frame Duty/Carry Kit is the next evolution of drop in parts. Installation of this kit reduces the trigger pull weight of your centerfire J-Frame Smith and Wesson revolver from over 12 lbs to 9 lbs. This kit contains a new Rebound Slide Spring, Main Spring and an Apex XP Firing Pin Kit. Installation requires no fitting or modification to the factory springs or parts, just remove the factory parts and install the J-Frame Duty/Carry Kit. Applicability: Works with all modern centerfire J-Frame revolvers with the frame mounted firing pin. Note: It is recommended that all Apex Tactical Specialties parts be installed by a qualified gunsmith.

Recently purchased a NIB S&W 638 revolver. The trigger pull was very heavy, and it was difficult to cock the hammer for single action use. This kit looked to be the answer to a good action. I installed myself, and it was very easy. The result was a much lighter trigger pull. I’ve since run 100 rds through the revolver without any problems.
