It’s everything it’s supposed to be. Looks and functions exactly as oem. I would give it 5 stars except it doesn’t come with the retainer nut which has to be purchased separately. I’ve bought action slides from other websites before that included it at the same price. I am happy with it otherwise.

I purchased a conversion kit for my maverick 88 that came with a pos action slide that would constantly fall apart after firing off a round. Did some research and decided to just buy an OEM part. The 7 3/4" action slide is hard to come by online but MGW has them in stock!

I have a Maverick 88 which has a one piece action slide, so the Mossberg 500 slide allowed me to install a Magpul handguard onto it.

To modify my Maverick 88, I discovered that I needed to change out the action slide from the stock 6 1/2" slide to the 7 3/4" to accept the Magpul furniture I had purchased. The change-out went perfectly and I now have a maverick 88 dressed the way I wanted it. Would recommend this to anyone, very easy modification.

I bought the recreational Mossberg 500 from a sporting good store and always thought the stock, all plastic, slide seemed loose and sloppy. After looking into the differences between the consumer and tactical models, I noticed the all metal action slide of the 590 and thought it would be an improvement to what I had. It did indeed increase the feel and stability of the racking motion. Great addition if you have the basic sporting good store model.
