Description: Apex Tactical FN 509 Failure Resistant Extractor. Designed to provide reliable and consistent extraction under the most adverse shooting conditions, this failure resistant extractor is compatible with all FN 509 9mm pistols. Manufactured from a billet of heat-treated stainless steel with a black Nitride finish for increased durability, the extractor is a direct drop-in replacement of the factory MIM extractor. The critical engagement surface features Apex's custom extractor hook geometry and is machined by wire EDM.

Works great with any ammo. Only reason for 4.5 stars is the extractor exterior doesn't line up with the grooves in the slide like the FN stock extractor on my 509m, but no big deal really. Piece of cake to install.

This product is very easy to install. Apex Tactical has a short video on YouTube that covers every aspect of the removal and re-installation of the part. I'm not sure how necessary this product is, but it is certainly more robust than the factory part.
