Description: Sig Sauer P229 Recoil Spring, Flat Wire 40S&W/357Sig. Made to the highest Sig Sauer standards in material and workmanship, this OEM factory original recoil spring is manufactured for the P229 pistols chambered in .357 SIG and .40 S&W. This flat wire recoil spring retains and releases tension during operation of the pistol and is perfect as workshop spare or as an immediate replacement.

A quality replacement spring made in the US, instead of the traditional 3 wire braided Recoil Spring that were originally used. Sourcing parts locally prevents long waits from overseas shipping. Evidently they couldn't find anyone capable of producing quality 3 wire braided springs here in the states.

It's best to use OEM specified parts, if you want to maintain your warranty. In this case Sig has redesigned their Recoil Springs from the braided 3 wire design, to the flat wire design, for manufacture here, in the United States.
