Sig Sauer P320 Extractor Spring Guide, Plus

I'm one of the unfortunates who had my P320 extractor "fly away", after a couple of years of shooting it. Looking into the problem, I discovered the longer spring glide and thought it to be a really good idea. I installed it; so far it works great. I also bought/installed, from MGW, an Apex ("improved") extractor. I can't see a difference in the original (new one also purchased, from Sig - which I understand is better than the original) and the Apex, but maybe the material is better, or the edge is sharper, or something. I have to say, though, that I'm not sure the problem is due to the original Sig part. I think it may well be that the extractor spring guide has to be installed (positiioned) properly. If it is not, I can see that the extractor may well fly away.

This part was one of several to correct extraction and cycling problems with a high round count Sig P320, first edition, in 357 Sig. It is extremely well made, an easy drop in replacement and the pistol now functions flawlessly. Highly recommended, especially if you might be counting on your firearms in critical situations.

When the extractor failed on the P320 I found out about the upgraded parts this pin is a little longer. This is what you expect from Sig. perfection.
