This Wolff extra power hammer spring is manufactured for the Marlin Model 39A, 336, 444, 1894, and 1895 rifles capable of firing 30-30 Win, .35 Remington, .44 Rem Mag, .22 LR, .44 Special, .357 Mag, .38 Special, .45 Colt, .45-70 Govt, .450 Marlin, and .444 Marlin cartridges. This steel constructed extra power hammer springs are designed to provide approximately 15% extra power over factory original springs while providing more force for more reliable firing pin strikes. This spring is perfect as a spare, immediate replacement, and for fine tuning your Marlin rifle.

I have a very used 1955 vintage 39a, never miss fired but ammo going off sounded different round to round. Put in this spring and sounds more consistent shot to shot with same cheap ammo. Because my parts are so worn it did not change my nice trigger pull, which I was concerned about. Reason for 4 stars, I didn't expect to have to trim off some of the spring just to compress it enough to place on the strut, but I did.
