Description: Smith & Wesson J-Frame Mainspring Swivel. Molded from quality black polymer, this OEM factory original mainspring swivel is manufactured for the J Frame revolvers chambered in .38 Special and .357 Mag. Inserted over the bottom of the mainspring, this component restrains the mainspring onto the stirrup and is installed beneath the hammer. This piece is perfect as a spare for the workshop, or as an immediate replacement for a lost or damaged part.

I have a dedicated room to work with my firearms, a limited contained place. I have temporarily lost springs but have always found them. I was putting a j-frame light spring kit in my 642 and somehow I the cap slipped of my finger and it all sproinged off the table. The stirrup was on the floor next to me, the mainspring was on the floor 1 foot from the stirrup and the swivel was gone. I tore the entire room apart, emptied shelves, moved drawers, you name it I did it. No luck. So I started looking for a replacement and MGW had it for a respectable price and I received the product within 1 week (even during COVID-19) which was extremely pleasing. I put the swivel in and all is well. Thank you MGW.
