This was easy to grind down to fit my stock and the 400 grit sandpaper I used on the last step gave it a nice finish. The only downside is that because the rubber is soft and easy to grind means that it does hang up on your coat when you mount the gun. I angled the top to minimize this.

The pad is actually not too bad. Tried to reduce length of pull on a shotgun, without cutting the stock, but was not able to grind the pad down far enough to fit flush due to coming in contact with the metal in the pad. did not send back due to the pad being already ground down. If it would have worked length of pull would have been perfect and I would have rated it higher.
