Description: Smith & Wesson J-Frame Hand Spring. Produced from industry standard steel, this OEM factory original hand spring manufactured for the J Frame revolvers chambered in .38 Special and .357 Mag. Located in the top of the trigger, the hand spring provides tension to the hand and keeps it properly aligned during operation. This quality part is perfect as a spare on the workbench or as an immediate replacement for a lost or damaged piece.

One little spring, hard to find

This little spring is vital to a S&W Model 10 working...without it, there is no pressure on the hand to move the cylinder. Its an easy piece to loose and also to break, but very difficult to find. MGW is one of few places that stocks springs like this, and their ordering is very quick and easy and the spring works great!! Keep this place in mind if you're thinking of working on an older model handgun...or most other firearms!!

The spring is perfect, however I did not need to use it. I used the existing spring with the new hand assembly, and will keep this one as a spare.
