Description: Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 45 M2.0 Extended Magazine Buttplate. This extended mag buttplate is formed from a durable black polymer and is a factory original part from Smith & Wesson. The buttplate is made for the M&P Shield 45 M2.0 model of pistols from Smith & Wesson chambered in .45 ACP. The extended buttplate features a grip texture, retains inner components such as the mag spring and follower, and allows for one extra round to be chambered in the magazine. This buttplate is perfect for use in an emergency replacement stash and can be great to have in the spare parts chest. This item is proudly made in the USA by Smith & Wesson.

This buttplate DOES NOT include a 7 round magazine spring [3005996] nor an extended buttplate catch [3001637]. View the Related Items below.

This extended base pad DOES NOT come with the required spring & base plate. They are available from MGW, but must be ordered as a separate item. Not mentioned in the product description. MGW has great service and a good selection!!

The magazine extension works great. HOWEVER, if you're extending a 6 round to make it a 7 round, you MUST have a buttplate catch. That is a separate item that SHOULD be mentioned in the description or you will ordering it later and paying shipping on it which is almost as much as the part. I hope this information helps the next gun owner.
