Description: Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 Slide Stop Assembly. This slide stop assembly is manufactured from steel components and is an OEM factory original assembly from Smith & Wesson and for the M&P M2.0 pistols chambered in 9mm. The slide stop assembly allows the slide to be locked open thus exposing the chamber of the pistol.

Used this to replace the extended side stop which is included on the Performance Center M&P 2.0 and another custom duty M&P 2.0, both full size 4.25in. The extended release was causing the slide to lock open randomly while shooting with magazines that still had rounds remaining. Turns out the high grip was causing this as my support(left) hand first thumb knuckle was pressing against and causing the issue.
Replacing the extended side release in both with this part completely resolved the issue for me.

The M&P metal slide release sticks out farther than the polymer 2.0 making it easier to use your thumb. But a pain in the butt to find a holster! This is a easy swap and now you can use a polymer holster for your 2.0 metal.

If you need just slide stop w/o spring this is the part for MP 2.0 compact. If you need slide stop with spring, call smith Wesson and they will give you part # then you can order the slide stop assembly which comes with a spring.
