I didn't lose any functionality but it didn't resolve my problem. I just can't use the pinky extension on my bodyguard. My grip will make the mag pop loose. I thought the new release would fix it. Just my size hands. Gun never hiccups with the pinky extension removed.

I sold this gun years ago. I recently bought it back. The mag catch was swapped for a metal one and had to be depressed to insert the magazine fully. I swapped it back with this. OEM perfection.

Had so many people tell me I was just flat screwed when it came to the mag release and the bodyguard. I went ahead anyways and bought this release pin and just as i had imagined, problemo fixed. Even sounds meaner when clip is inserted now. Total fix. Thank you guys so much! Love my bodyguard. Made my day I could fix er and prove the haters wrong haha!

It was a. Nice upgrade from the stock polymer catch that wears out so fast against a stock metal magazine that was a bad design by Smith. The part went right in decent price and fast shipping will do business again with these guys
