Constructed from quality steel, this revolver lock kit is manufactured for the Smith & Wesson revolver line including the J, K, L, Z, and N frame chambered in various calibers such as .41 Rem Mag, .44 Special, .45 Colt, .357 Mag and more. This revolver lock key set includes 2 keys and functions by being inserted in the revolvers lock near the hammer, preventing unwanted discharge of the firearm.

Bought this for my daughter's used Ladysmith 642. She really likes the ability to disable the firearm when it's being stored. The Midwest set comes with two keys, which is a bonus versus the typical one key items being sold on the Internet.
