Tough stuff!

This trigger guard is some of the toughest stuff I have seen in the shop is some time. Hardened and tempered to spring-like properties. Not exactly easy to drill, but it should last a long time in the field. The previous item, the one this one replaced proved to have a hollow leg. Literally. The rear peg was cast with a void, a bubble, right in the middle of the post. The notch put in to hold the pin, and the pressure of the pin itself, was too much for the original, and it failed. I hope that doesn't happen with this one,
