FN America FN15 Upper, 20" Rifle (HF Barrel)

I have only put around 1200 rounds through this upper so far mainly due to ammo cost. It has been 100% reliable and I have no issues hitting 10” steel plates out at 325yards with M193 ammo. Fit and finish is excellent and no issues with the front sight post for it was installed straight. Only complaint was the front sling swivel was not installed on mine so I had to purchase one and put it on myself. I am lucky to have a side job at a machine gun range and work on over 60 machine guns there so I got to try this upper out on a full auto lower. I wish others appreciated the full size 20” barreled M16 uppers. You get much better velocity and are super soft shooting compared to the shorter M4 versions. Great product, what you should expect from a legendary company like FN.

I just got the upper so this isn’t a long term review but the fit and finish of the upper is great. I installed a national match front sight post and put about 600 rounds through it so far. Hitting 10” plates at 325 yards was not an issue with M855 ammo. Next to no wobble attaching it to my Smith and Wesson lower so I’m very happy. Only complaint was my upper arrived with no front sling swivel. So I ordered one and installed my self which was a piece of cake. Other than that this cold hammer forged barrel upper is fantastic and should last a lifetime.
