Description: Smith & Wesson M&P Striker Assembly. This striker assembly is constructed of a durable white polymer bushing / keeper and stainless steel pin / spring components and is an OEM factory original part from Smith & Wesson. The firing pin assembly is designed for the M2.0, Full Sized, Compact, & Shield versions of the M&P 9 / 40 models of pistols from Smith & Wesson chambered in 9mm & .40 S&W respectively. The assembly contains the appropriate springs, spacers, retainers, and the firing pin so that it may be dropped into the firearm right away. This assembly is perfect for use in an emergency replacement stash and can be great to have in the spare parts chest. This item is proudly made in the USA by Smith & Wesson.

I was experiencing occasional light primer strikes on my brand new Shield Plus Performance Center model. Rather than send the pistol back to S & W I took the slide apart and cleaned the firing pin channel and installed this new striker assembly. The striker was .0045 longer than the original and increased the trigger pull by approx. 1/4 lbs. The pistol now functions flawlessly!

I am new to guns and I bought my gun used (a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm, First generation, California compliant). I decided to swap it out to make sure I had a working replacement because I saw the pin that came on the used gun was a little worn where the striker hits. I brought it to the range and ran 200 rounds through with no problems.

My customer was getting light primer strikes and I found that the original striker had .042" protrusion. I purchased this new unit and found it gave .048" protrusion and corrected the issue. S&W could not provide me with acceptable firing pin protrusion measurements for the M&P 9. Item packaged well and fast shipping by MGW.

OEM part. Shipped quick;y by MGW. Fixed many issues on M&P 9mm & 40 S&W pistols both Full Size & Compact. Many casual shooters tend to over lube their pistols which allows impurities to pollute the Striker Assembly. If I determine the plastic components of the Striker Assembly are polluted & the springs & firing pin are full of debris I usually change out the entire Striker Assembly and Channel Guide.
