Description: Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard 380 Lockup Pin. This lockup takedown pin is constructed of durable steel, carries a matte blued finish, and is a factory original part from Smith & Wesson. The lockup lever is designed for the M&P Bodyguard 380 model of pistols from Smith & Wesson chambered in .380 Auto. The lockup pin secures the slide to the frame and is used in field stripping the firearm. This pin is perfect for use in an emergency replacement stash and can be great to have in the spare parts chest. This item is proudly made in the USA by Smith & Wesson.

Must have, even if your M&P Bodyguard is brand new. Your pistol needs this part to be disassembled & reassembled. Because this pin needs to be completely removed from your M&P Bodyguard 380 to field strip to clean or do repairs. Without this part your M&P Bodyguard 380 cannot be put back together. As an Armorer I always keep this part in stock because customers are loosing the part often when working on their pistol. That's why I say even if your M&P Bodyguard 380 is brand new it's always good to have a spare.

Unlike many pistols in which you twist the takedown lever. In the M&P Bobyguard you remove the Pin (lever) from the pistol completely. You can't imagine how many of these I replace on my range because people lose them on their workbench, kitchen table etc. when field striping their BG 380 Pistols to clean them. I also recommend always having a spare on hand just so your Bodyguard isn't rendered useless if you should happen to lose the one you happen to have in your pistol since you need the part to attach the Slide to the Frame.
