Description: Smith & Wesson Model 60/640/649/317 Grip, Black Rubber. These OEM factory original black rubber grips are produced for the Smith & Wesson Model 60, 640, 649, & 317 J-Frame revolvers chambered in calibers .357 Mag, .38 Special, .22 WMR & .22 LR. These grips feature detailed checkering and the S&W logo. This set works great for the next workshop project or as immediate replacements. Installation screw included.

Purchased the OEM grips that came with my S&W 640-1 .357 snub nose after I had traded the ones that came with the revolver for a larger aftermarket set
several years ago, but decided to switch back to the original grips. Unfortunately, S&W was out of stock for the grips but I found them here on MGW and ordered them. The grips arrived in a timely manner, fit perfectly and were priced right. I am now very happy to have my revolver back to its original configuration when I got it brand new 28 years ago!

I have a S&W model 60 Ladysmith with the nice wooden grips. They're pretty but can be too slick for shooting .357 mag in a snubnose. These rubber grips fit perfectly and provides plenty of texture and traction for shooting and follow-up shots.

Got them for my s&w 43c, because the boot grip just didn’t keep the sights steady. The 43c is very light, and the sights would shift with every trigger pull. The extra length and palm swell makes the 43c much more stable and comfortable.

I put these on my Smith and Wesson 360PD and they are a vast improvement over the stock OEM) grips. And yes, I have shot several cylinders of .357 magnum 125 grain rounds. It is stout but definitely doable and gives me that option for EDC. For IWB carry, they sit well and do not cling to overgarments; yet, these provide sufficient grip for firing.

I love this grip. It fits my hand and it fits the firearm. I think S&W ought to make the this stock grip on every J-frame (expect the 36 Classic, just because). MGW ships quickly and packs properly. I am shifting my business away from another supplier due to consistent poor packaging.

Put them on my 360 pd to get an extra finger on it .. well needed for thos federal 158 gr. Magnum loads cus the recoil on an 11 oz j frame is no joke a noisy cricket indeed !

These are the very best J-Frame grips. While not the smallest in size, they are the most comfortable and they offer an really thin profile. For 34 years now I carried a back-up J-frame for LE duty work. I’ve carried every grip you can think of and I’m never satisfied until I got these rubber molded ones. From Pachmyers to Altamonts, to S&W factory grips, to Hogue… you name it, I own them all and love these rubber finger groves ones best! I bought three sets for three different J-Frames and I’m keeping these on forever now.

Smith finally made it easier to replace grips, which we wouldn't have know without the product information on MGW. Installation was more simple than the previous models. Just look for the shape of your butt. The guns butt, order and install.

OEM grip fits the S&W 642. It provides more grip area and also padding between the frame and the palm and web of your hand. The airweight pistols are kind of punishing to practice with; I think the new grip will help to soften that. I’m very pleased with it.

The original grips were shipped without the screw. MGW very quickly addressed the issue and I received the screw a week later. Actually love the product. It was exactly as advertised. I have the Uncle Mikes grips on some of my J frame revolvers,. Since Uncle Mikes is no longer available , to my knowledge, these S&W replacements are the closest one can acquire. These grips give one a firm grip on a J frame, thus making it a bit more comfortable.

This grip is made of excellent quality and fits well.
This is an exact match as the S&W factory grip.
The "gripe" I have is that I think the factory grip needs to come with 2 points that lock the grip in place.
One is the screw that goes through the center.
There should be a SECOND "locking" point as well so the grip doesn't "ROCK" back and forth when shooting.
I have see on the internet about adding a "roll pin" inside the grips as the second "locking" point so I am going to try that out as it looks like there is a place for a "roll pin" on the inside of the grips.

These grips fill the hand unlike the Uncle Mike's boot grips that came on my S&W 642. Yes, they are a little bigger and not as easy to conceal in a pocket, but on an IWB or OWB hip holster they conceal just fine. I'll take the slightly larger size in return for greater control.
