Description: Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9 / 40 Magazine Spring. This steel mag spring is a durable factory original part from Smith & Wesson. This spring is designed for the M&P Shield 9 & 40 models of pistols from Smith & Wesson chambered in 9mm and .40 S&W respectively. The magazine spring, located in the magazine, provides upward pressure to the follower thus sending rounds to the chamber of the pistol. This spring is perfect for use in an emergency replacement stash and can be great to have in the spare parts chest. This item is proudly made in the USA by Smith & Wesson.

Shield mag spring

The weak part of the shield 1.0 is the magazine and the weak part of the magazine is the spring. If you are having Feed problems change the mag springs. Some of the older ones will bind up as the wide part rises.
I finally got sick of it and changed them all.

The magazine spring was a perfect replacement to the factory spring. It fit great and works flawlessly. The packaging could have been a little better as there was no real protection for the spring during shipping but luckily mine arrived without any damage. If you are looking for a mag spring then I would definitely recommend this one! Stay safe!
