Description: Smith & Wesson M&P10 Gas Tube. This gas tube is constructed of durable stainless steel and is an OEM factory original component from Smith & Wesson. The gas tube is designed for the Smith & Wesson M&P10 model of rifles chambered in .308 Win & 7.62x51mm. The gas tube runs from the gas block back into the receiver to divert expelling gases to finish cycle the firearm for the next round. This gas tube is a great component to have in the spare parts chest or to use as a replacement for damaged components. Tight fit just like the factory tube. Instead of trying to get the factory tube out of standard gas block, just get this and new gas block. Warning: just like factory tube you won't get this one back out either. But it works perfectly.

It seems that ever since I got my M&P-10 that S&W marches to the beat of a different drummer when it comes to a number of things. Don't get me wrong, my M&P-10 is reliable with not a single malfunction and accurate, so I like the rifle. It's just that a number of parts are not standard in some way and when I installed a free float handguard and adjustable gas block I couldn't get the gas tube roll pin out so I decided to simply get another gas tube. That's when I discovered the gas tube is one of those non-standard parts. I tried other mid and intermediate length gas tubes and they didn't fit. So I tried this one and it fits just right. I like my M&P-10, but when it comes to upgrades, accessories, etc., it can sometimes be an adventure. If you have an M&P-10 and need a gas tube, this is what you need. I also bought the S&W roll pin with it and they were perfect mates when installing my Superlative Arms adjustable gas block.

Exactly what I needed. If you own a M&P AR 10 and want to change out the handguard and need a low profile gas block you are better off just buying this gas tube. I broke 3 punches trying to get the roll pin out. Google trying to get the pin out and you'll see what I mean. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it didn't come with a roll pin for the gas block. This should be included in my opinion.
