Description: Thompson / Center T-Handle Short Starter w/ Universal Loading Tips. This compact t-handle short starter kit comes with a lightweight rugged t-handle short starter, an aluminum 10-32 seating head, and two brass loading tips. The t-handle short starter is designed to attach to the ramrod to extend the length for easier cleaning. The interchangeable seating head allows for the use of many ramrod accessories. The two knurled brass loading tips feature concave tips for loading spire point, conical point, and hollow-point muzzleloader bullets.

Simple easy way to get them balls started! changing or removing the tips is easy with the knurling and construction is good

I have to say that I can find no need for the knurl on the end of a short starter. It is not for retrieving anything from the barrel. I have been shooting traditional muzzleloaders for over 40 years and have never used a short starter to pull anything, only to push.
