The original magazine cap had been drilled and tapped to accept a swivel screw. After a couple years the threads stripped and the swivel was detached. Found this part online and it is the part that should have been installed originally when I attached the sling. Shame on the local gun store for not directing me to the proper part and shame on me for not researching properly. In the words of The Who - we won’t be fooled again!!!

When I got my gun many years ago, I drilled and tapped the current cap for a sling stud. That recently failed and stopped out the metal and this was a perfect replacement all ready to go and much better design than how I tapped.

This part was perfect for my brand new Benelli Ultra Light shotgun. I was mystified that the gun didn't come with sling mounts. But this part from MGW fit perfectly, and combined with a sling mount I drilled into the stock, resulted in adapting a sling for my Benelli. My only complaint...at $50 it's a tad pricey.
