Description: FN 509 Tactical, Black, (1) 17rd. & (1) 24rd. Magazines. This tactical version of the FN 509 includes significant design improvements implemented in the FN 509 family of pistols. This semi-automatic striker-fired pistol is chambered in 9mm and features a black finish. It also features the patent-pending FN Low-Profile Optics Mounting System which accepts many of the commercially-available miniature red dot optics along with green tritium night sights installed. The 509 Tactical comes standard with a 4-1/2" hammer-forged, stainless-steel barrel. The barrel is threaded in 1/2"-28 and comes with a thread protector. Aggressive serrations on the slide provide positive grip along with the raised sight wings that give the user a textured ramp for racking the pistol against nearly any surface. This pistol ships in a soft case, one 17 round and one 24 round magazines.
The FN 509 Tactical, an extension of the FN 509 family, is based on FN's submission pistol that the U.S. Army tested for its Modular Handgun Trials, but includes the significant improvements to the design that were implemented in the FN 509. The pistol features the company's U.S Patent No. 10/352,654 Low-Profile Optics Mounting System that enables the platform to accept more than ten commercially-available miniature red dot (MRD) optics that co-witness with the suppressor-height night sights and remain adaptable to future optics releases with no requirement of direct milling of the slide. The slide cap, for use when not shooting with an optic, has raised sight wings that protect iron sight alignment if the pistol is dropped or jostled, and provides a textured ramp for racking the slide against a belt loop, pant pocket or boot. An FN-signature 4.5-inch, cold hammer-forged, stainless-steel barrel with target crown, 1/2" x 28 threads that accept the bulk of 9mm suppressors available and thread cap with integrated O-ring to prevent loosening during use complete the top end. Lastly, the 24-round magazine, nearly identical in length to the pistol's slide, maximize ammunition capacity without impacting carry convenience.

4.5" Threaded Barrel
This FN 509 Tactical pistol boasts a cold hammer forged stainless steel 4.5" barrel that has a black finish, is chambered for 9mm and boasts 1/2" x 28 TPI threading for muzzle device or suppressor attachments. This firearm's barrel carries a recessed target crown for improved accuracy, a polished chamber / feed ramp and a 1:10 RH twist rate.

Mini Red Dot (MRD) Optics System
This pistol comes with the full MRD system - ready to simply install a wide variety of mini red dot sights to the firearm. The pistol ships with the plates, screws, inserts and o-rings (as shown in the below chart) to ensure a secure mount of some of the the industry's top mini optic models.
Tritium Night Sights
The slide of this FN 509 Tactical has a fixed set of tritium suppressor height night sights to improve target acquisition in all lighting scenarios.
24 & 17 Round Magazines
This pistol ships with one (1) 24 round magazines and one (1) 17 round mag chambered for 9mm. These mags are constructed of a matte blued steel and feature indicator holes to keep track of number of rounds loaded. The 24-round magazine, nearly identical in length to the pistol's slide, maximize ammunition capacity without impacting carry convenience.

Firearm Purchasing Policy
Midwest Gun Works sells firearms only in accordance with all Federal, State & Local firearms regulations. Midwest Gun Works will only ship a Firearm to a Federal Firearms License holder (FFL). FFL holder must be located within the United States. We do not and will not ship firearms internationally. In order for Midwest Gun Works to ship your firearm purchase, you must complete the following steps:
- Midwest Gun Works must receive a legible and SIGNED copy of the Federal Firearms License from the dealer that will receive the firearm. This can be done via fax, email or standard mail.
- Payment must be received via Credit Card
Important note: Please insure that you or your FFL dealer includes your name and order number with FFL when Emailed or faxed.

Shipping
WE WILL ONLY SHIP TO VALID FFL DEALERS.
Once payment and a signed FFL copy have been received, Midwest Gun Works will then process and prepare the firearm for shipment. All firearms are typically shipped via UPS or USPS Priority Mail. Most shipments going to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped via USPS. Shipping rates vary according to geographical location and final value of Firearm being purchased. Minimum shipping rates are as follows:
- Long Guns: Minimum shipping rate is set at $32.00, with any additional charges being added once final value and location of receiver have been established.
- Hand Guns: Minimum shipping rate is set at $41.00, with any additional charges being added once final value and location of receiver have been established.
* Any additional shipping charges not shown during online check-out will be presented to the customer for approval prior to processing the order.
Once your FFL Dealer receives the firearm, you as the purchaser will then be required to fill out all pertinent paperwork with them in order to take possession of your firearm.
