FN FNS / FNX 9 & 40 Magazine Release

Easily installed this on an FNS9c. Took about 5 minutes and is definitely better than the smaller, original version.

The FN9C has a magazine release that is difficult to press without shifting your group. This magazine release, made for the full size FN9 is slightly larger. It fits the compact perfectly and extends the release just enough to make magazine release so much easier.

Great product nice solid metal piece not the polymer junk for the price cant be beat although have not had time to install on my FN 40C the fact is the original part is flush with grip and hard to eject mag was told this replacement is a little extended but does not interfere with holster would recommend to anyone . Keep up the great work guys and the low prices !!

The 40C came with the slimmer profile mag release on the compact model. It was very slim, but it did not release the magazine effectively or reliably. I would have to remove my grip completely to drop the mag. Sometimes the button would even would jam inside the gun grip and have to be manipulated to pop back out. For just a few bucks, this standard size mag release made the gun reliable for self defense. I also installed it myself with a less than 5 minutes using a YouTube video.

I've been concealed carrying an FNS 9C for close to three years. I've never been fond of the original mag release so I replaced it with an FNS 9 mag release from MGW. I wish now I had replaced it a lot sooner. If I had known how much better it was over the original mag release I would have replaced it shortly after I purchased the pistol. Ordered this to replace the hard to work factory mag release. It was easy to install using a youtube video. Mags are now easy to release.

I had the FNS-9C for a couple years - its a great pistol whose only flaw is its low profile mag release. I always had difficulty depressing the release button to drop the magazine since the button is flush. I got the full size FNS mag release button from MGW (OEM part) and now have no problem dropping the magazine - what a difference 3mm makes. Now my FNS-9C is flawless.

Makes it easier for me and my medium small hands to actuate the magazine release with my thumb. I am right handed. The replacement procedure is simple and the change over from the low profile release button that comes on the FN FNS 9C pistol makes it perfect for me. Very glad I did it as it was difficult for me making consistent magazine releases with the stock magazine release button. I understand the low profile for concealed carry sleekness but I needed a little help and this did the trick for me. I have had no accidental releases of the magazine with my daily carry activities.

Wasn't fond of the oem mag release, just had a terrible time getting to it and actually making it work. I found myself fiddling around with it when i should have been resuming fire. So...i'm right handed and use my thumb to release mags. I opted to take a Dremel tool to the right side of the release and lower that button down to about stock level. Contoured like the original. I painted it with Brownell's black Aluma-Hyde II and it looks and functions fantastic.

Replaced the one on my FNS-9C with this one. Much easier mag changes now.

Replacement part for an LEO trade-in that only had the safety protruding on the left. Now it’s back to full ambi.

Bought this to replace the low profile mag release for my Fns9c and this is absolutely perfect. Installed in about 2 minutes and the mag falls like butter now. Slightly higher profile but still doesn’t get in the way on my hands and I’m not accidentally releasing the mag.

A drop in factory part to replace the one installed in full size FNS 9 pistols and a drop in replacement for the short hard to operate one that comes in the compact pistols. I've never messed with one before but it was an easy 2 minute job. YouTube has videos on how to change them out.
