Description: Mossberg 500 12 Ga. 18.5" Security Barrel, Cylinder Choke, Matte. This part is a factory OEM part. Made to the same factory specifications, materials and standards as the parts already in your Mossberg firearm. Feel secure in knowing the parts you order will be the same as the parts that are worn or missing from your firearm. This barrel is matte blued, has a fixed cylinder bore, and includes a front sight bead. This barrel will fit all Mossberg Model 500, Flex 500, and Maverick 88 model shotguns with a 6 shot magazine tube.
Note: It is recommended that all Mossberg parts be installed by a qualified and trained gunsmith.

Finish rubbed off in the packaging

Seems a quality barrel, that said the plastic clamshell packaging is abrasive, it rubbed off the matte barrel bluing finish in some places. If it wasn’t so hard to find and it wouldn’t cost me return shipping + restocking fee I would have returned it.

Between the short barrel and the pistol grip I added, I now have a nice short and powerful addition to my home defense collection. Moving around corners or through doorways is a breeze. Accuracy with rifled slugs is just as good as my 28" barrel under home defense conditions.
