Beware - Not All Kits have properly machined Bores

1st barrel kit I bought (not from MGW but MidwayUSA) had the bore
machined a few degrees off the longitudinal axis of the barrel. When I checked the assembly with an alignment rod, the rod indicated that a baffle strike would have been the result if ammo had been fired thru this barrel with the can attached. I would not have been pleased. Always use an alignment rod to check the alignment (1st time this even happened to me, really made me a believer in alignment rods). The 2nd barrel kit I purchased (from MGW) was perfect. The problem with the 1st barrel had nothing to do with where it was purchased from. I now have a crappy spare barrel for use without a can.
