Browning A-5 Shotgun Butt Stock, 16, 20 and 20 Magnum

I called and spoke with a parts person and was assured this was the correct replacement stock for the A-5 Sweet Sixteen I was working on. It was not. This is for the original version of the A-5, NOT the modern version as was mentioned several times. I provided the serial number for verification, incorrect part. This cost me a week delay and my customer couldn't use their gun for a 3 week hunt because of it. The part itself appeared to be of very high quality, just not right for my application.

Bought 1 of these in 12 Gauge for my Grandfather's 1953 Light 12 when I was rebuilding it after years of abuse. It fit nice with a little work, has great grain, and with a new forearm brought that old Auto 5 back into service. Wanted to do the same for a 1996 Auto5 Light Twenty I picked up, but just can't seem to get over the $249 price tag. Unless they come down in price, I can live with a few scratches...

Nice packaging, and shipping was as promised . finish had some minor flaws and the walnut wood is supper dark in color, will have to let it sun bleach for a few years and see if it will lighten up to match the old stock color...

...the bolt hole did not line up. A minor ream of a couple mm and it fit perfect. I love the grain of the wood, but it's not a match for the new forearm. I can accept that, considering the forest fires and flooding this past few years have put a crunch on product availability. With a reblueing, the Belgium Browning A5 20 ga. is like a new antique. It's back in use this season!
