Sig Sauer 1911 TACOPS .45 ACP Barrel Assembly, Threaded Barrel

The barrel is very good and clearly a well made Sig Sauer product. It comes with everything you need from the barrel link, the barrel link pin and a thread protector. Drops right in fits like a glove and functions perfectly...so what's the issue? quite simply the price! at $231.00 this barrel just is just flat out unreasonably priced. I have 2 Sig 1911's so buying 2 of these barrels would just be way too expensive...so I bought one Sig barrel at $231.00 and one of the Swenson threaded barrels for $69.00. The Swenson barrel did not come with the barrel link, link pin or thread protector, but I simply used the barrel link and link pin from my original Sig barrel and bought a nice thread protector off Amazon for $10. Both barrels just dropped into my Sigs with no fitting required...I took both to the range and the honest truth is the Swenson barrel performed just as good as the Sig barrel....The only reasons I like the Sig barrel slightly better is one, its a Sig brand barrel for a Sig gun and two, the Swenson barrel is just a tad bit longer than the Sig barrel so it sticks out a a little bit more from the end of the gun, but that's it, as for fit and finish I can't complain and the truth be told I could buy 3 Swenson barrels for the price of 1 Sig barrel...so the question now becomes is a Sig brand barrel worth 3 times the cost of a Swenson barrel?
