I cruise garage sales and pawn shops for older Remington .22s to restore and to shoot, especially target models. I bought a Remington Model 552 BDL Grade at a pawn shop for an excellent price. It had been hanging around for a while and they wanted to move it out. Patience, Grasshopper. It had a gaudy, cloudy TASCO 4X scope on it and the two bolts protecting the barrel taps. I needed the rear sight to make the rifle new and complete, again. I'll worry about finding a proper, quality, period-correct 3/4" scope, later. The rear sight fit right on and looks original (because it is?). Apparently this rear sight had uses on many different models and calibers; so, it wasn't a "cheaply made" or plastic .22 rear sight. That's fine with me. Thanks for having what I needed.
