Missing front sight hood

I recently purchased a used Marlin 336 with a missing front sight hood. I searched the net and happily found the MGW site. They had a complete exploded view of the Marlin 336 and a complete list of all it's parts.. Unfortunately it was out of stock. I asked to be notified when it became available. It was only a short time later when the e-mail came saying it was in stock. I placed the order and a few days later I installed the sight hood to restore my 336 to it's original condition. Have purchased another item with the same quick results. I will keep this supplier on my go to list. Thank you MGW.

This is the closest I have come to finding the correct front hood sight. While this one works, the original was completely round without the slight cutouts at each end. If by chance you have one I would gladly purchase it.

I ordered 2 of the hoods, one for a Marlin, MFG 1979 and one for another Marlin MFG 1968. It was very tight getting the one on the 1979 model and very tight for the 1968 model. It looks good I on the ‘79 model so far. To get it off may take a chain!

I bought the 444 Marlin used. It came to me minus the front sight hood. It just looks bad without a hood, let alone the protection the hood provides for the sight. Fit great, like factory and will stay on also.
