- This Breech Bolt Buffer requires that the Firing Pin Retaining Pin hole be drilled in the side of the buffer as part of the fitting process.

This was a perfect direct replacement, drilling the keeper pin hole wasn't too bad. Drilled a small pilot hole while it was in a vice protected with tape then removed buffer from the bolt and wrapped it with tape and held it in the vice and drilled a 9/64th hole which is snug on the keeper pin. Keeper pin needs a good pin punch and some effort when first removed.
