I put one on my Springfield Garrison and it fills that empty place in the palm of my hand , just feels better. So , I got a second one for another, non-Springfield 1911. It doesn't include a mainspring or plungers, so you have to transfer over from your old housing which is MUCH easier than I thought it would be. Nice fit and finish, a quality item.

Exactly what is needed to replace the ILS housing on a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec. If you like what is on your pistol except don't want the ILS, this is the part for you. Unfortunately, unlike a previous reviewer stated, this didn't come with the spring or other needed parts, so those needed to be ordered separately.

Bought this to replace the ILS maiinspring housing on my Springfield Mil-Spec. Dropped right in and fit perfectly. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that it came complete with the spring and all parts, ready to rumble. Fast shipping as always from MGW.
