As a working part this does the job reliably. The only reason I lost the last one was my pusher slipped while doing a deep cleaning. Otherwise the pistol served years of service at a local range with insignificant indication of wear.

Of course, while cleaning my P238, I moved the safety lever too far and the detent plunger poked out. It didn't shoot out. Which was fortunate. Until I tried to reseat it ( whoa! Good thing it didn't hit me in the eye!). I found the spring. But not the plunger. So, onto the internet and MGW had what I wanted at a good price. I ordered two and they were shipped quick and arrived fast. Exactly what I needed. Thanks MGW!

I am happy that Sig P238 and Colt Mustang have interchangeable parts. The price for Sig parts cost a lot less than Colt.
The plunger works great. Losing the one I needed to replace reminds me of how important it is to disassemble the pistol in a plastic bag to capture parts under spring tension.
