Description: Sinclair Remington Firing Pin Removal Tool, Bolt Actions.  This bolt disassembly tool makes removing the firing pin, spring and shroud assembly from the bolt body an easy task.  This tool is designed to pull back and hold the cocking piece as the shroud, pin and spring assembly is unscrewed from the bolt body. This needs to be done to clean the assembly and apply new light oil several times a year. The bolt should also be disassembled and inspected if a primer cup may need to be removed from the bolt body. The tool has a non-marring Delrin body and is very easy and fast to use. Most competitive shooters carry a bolt tool for their action to every match.

This Tool Fits:  40X, 600, 660, Model, 7, XP-100, 700, 721, XR-100 and 722 actions plus the Kelbly Stolle actions. Does not work for 40X rimfire actions.

This is a simple yet very high quality tool which makes quick work of Remington 700 bolt disassembly and repairs. Sure, there are other methods you can use - but this one will not mar the finish of your fine firearm and it’s easily controlled. It’s a welcome addition to the toolset. Buy with confidence.

Bolt maintenance was never a priority until I built my first custom rifle. Reading up on what the pro shooter s do as far as maintenance, I learned the accuracy effect of poor cleaning, and firing pin spring replacement as a routine that needs to be done. I shoot rim-fire bench-rest with a Remington 40x action. If you have one of these you know the bolt can be a bit difficult to disassemble. I purchased the Sinclair Remington Firing Pin Removal Tool offered by MGW because it was the least costly unit I could find. The package arrived a few days after placing the order, well packaged and in perfect condition. I tried the tool on my 40x, not only did it work but I was surprised how well it worked. I recommend the tool to anyone with a 40x or similar bolt. Bob
