As a police officer, I choose to carry the S&W Shield as one of my EDC firearms. The addition of this Hi-Viz LITEWAVE Fiber Optic sight really gives some visual "pop" to the front sight. Of course, it is more visible as the lighting conditions get brighter but any color contrast in the sight profile aids in quick visual acuity. I am very impressed with the protective bar positioned on the top of the optic rod. Nice touch and one of the details that lead to my purchase of the LITEWAVE. And the fast & accurate service from MGW didn't hurt anything either.
