When someone (like me) decides to prove that anyone can make a mistake, and allows the guide rod to disappear during disassembly, there is only one thing to do: Get another one. Price was reasonable and shipping was quick. I would do business with MGW again.

Gen 3 guide rod is what you want

Gen 1 and some Gen 2 Picos have a slightly shorter rod, about 1/32”. This can lead to jamming when the slide moves back after the gun gets broken in, 1,000 rounds or so. This guide rod is from the Gen 3 revision and it fixed that problem.
