Product Description

•••••

Description: Wilson Combat 1911 Firing Pin Return Spring, Extra Power. Wilson Combat parts and accessories have an unmatched level of exceptional reliability and peerless craftsmanship. Wilson Combat isn't just a name, but also quality you can feel confident relying on.

A Wilson Combat  "extra power" firing pin spring will help reduce the risk of accidental discharge should the pistol be dropped without reducing reliable ignition. These enhanced, chrome silicon steel springs resist taking a set even after thousands of compression cycles for improved performance and reliability over standard music wire springs. They are the top choice of competition shooters seeking the longest in spring life.

A 1911 Firing Pin Return Spring should be replaced every 5,000 rounds.

I replaced all of my 1911 firing pin springs with these Wilson springs. They are clearly stronger than stock yet I have no problem lighting up hard primers as always with these springs.

The lockup and reset was slightly quicker after install. With striker fire guns, a extra power firing spring might cause the trigger to be much worst. I guess since the 1911 is hammer fired it doesn’t effect trigger in such a negative way. The trigger actually seemed better and you get that extra reliability. Not really any cons to adding these.
