KNS Precision AK-47 Thread Adapter, M14x1 LH to 5/8x24 RH

Every hub adapter I buy had to be returned because of quality control issues, not this one, great price and great product. 10 stars.

For my application (Cugir Micro-Draco), the adapter indexes off the muzzle face, making the collar stand just proud of the brake retaining pin, and doesn’t allow me to mechanically notch the adapter. Since I can’t use the brake retaining pin as intended, I’ve resorted to a generous amount of Rocksett and torque. Unsurprisingly, the 5/8x24 and 14x1L are torqued shut and open respectively for suppressor applications and results in the adapter eventually working itself free. I’m going with a Griffin Armament adapter which has a more lengthy and robust collar for modification, and keeping this one as a backup.

Opens up the AK-47 to take all the muzzle brakes, compensators and other accessories available to the American shooter. Very useful indeed.

This works great on a AK but not a RPK. Just a heads up.

BOUGHT ADAPTER TO USE ON MY ZPAP M70 AND WORKED JUST FINE. THE MALE THREADS ON THE BARREL ARE SLIGHTLY LONGER THAN THE THREADS IN THE ADAPTER ,BUT THAT DOESNT MATTER. I TIGHTENED THE ADPTER DOWN AND PUT SUPPRESSOR ON WITHOUT ISSUE. EVERYTHING WAS CONCENTRIC AND WORKED GREAT. THE MACHINING AND THE FINISH OF THE ADAPTER IS TOP NOTCH.

Easy to order, simple to install, design allows for positive connection with tightening tool to prevent rounding off.

Got this installed on my Romanian Underfolder, which let me mount a Q Cherry Bomb, so now I can run my Trash Panda on it. Super happy with it and would recommend it. *Make sure everything is concentric if you're running a can*

I dont know why they would be different, but this was probably atleast 1/2" short from fitting on my Century AK. It screws on and everything looked great but the threads on my rifle were way longer than the threads on this adapter. With this fully threaded on the rifle, there were a lot of exposed threads left. I'm sure other rifles it would be very nice - for now I am looking for a buddy to give this too : )

The adapter looks and feels great; my expectation from KNS, however, placing the adapter onto my 14x1LH AK barrel, the adapter does not go all the way down the thread body of the barrel and leaves space between the front site post and the face of the adapter. I figured the only way to remedy this was to purchase an AK 14x1LH jam nut to fill in th wrest of the space and allow a positive lock up on the threads to engage enough on to torque; this is being used to adapt a muzzle device for suppressor use and will be checked centric. Maybe you guys could possibly look at offering a jam nut that is wide enough or an assortment in the kit with these, or put out some info that the adapter might not mate up with the front site post and detent. My gun is a Polish manufactured and assembled Pioneer Arms Hell Pup, not the IO Hell Pup junk.
