Description: Faxon 9310 .458 SOCOM / .450 Bushmaster AR-15 Bolt, Nitride. This is a factory original AR-15 replacement bolt designed for big-bore performance. Designed to MIL-SPEC specifications, Faxon pairs high-strength materials with enhanced inspection and a durable surface treatment. Each bolt is machined from 9310 tool steel, fully heat-treated, shot-peened, and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) to help ensure material integrity. The bolt receives a salt-bath nitride finish to increase surface hardness, reduce corrosion resistance, and provide excellent corrosion resistance compared to typical phosphate finishes. Bolt lugs are chamfered to support smooth feeding and reliable function-even under demanding loads and fast actions. The extractor is manufactured from S7 tool steel, fully heat-treated, and shot-peened per MIL-SPEC to ensure consistent extraction.
