MOAB Mother of All Baseplates are for 9mm Smith & Wesson M&P pistol magazines. This set-up comes with 4 custom MOAB baseplates that feature an ergonomic design with positive mag seating that ensures proper seating of your magazine without hurting or annoying your hand. Also each plate showcases debris evacuation ports and fits all current 9mm S&W M&P mags including 2.0 versions that have the rear square detent on the mag floor plate retainer (as shown in the picture above).

The primary difference of this base plate over the stock basses is that these MOAB bass plates have an extended side plate area with groves for stripping mags that dont falll out of the grip easily. Very functional. I like that the bottom of the plate is dimpled for identification use. This is good for those who keep track of which magazines tend to fail.
I hoped that this would fit in the 2.0 Metal Performance Center magwell. It does not. I have several stock M&P mags and none fit, except for the 4 that came with the Metal Performance Center gun. Those mags look like extended mags. They are not. I suppose this keeps the gun in the production division of USPSA, I don't know.
The Taylor extended magazines will not fit either without a little widdling on them. I will try filing the edges of the Taylor extensions to see it that will make them fit.
Or remove the Magwell on the Metal 2.0 and all is good.

Not Compatible With New M&P Mags

I would rate these a 5/5 if they did not falsely advertise that this was compatible with all M&P mags.
These require the old style magazines with the square tab (near the edge) on the baseplate. If you have a M&P mag with the circle (in the center) baseplate l, you will need to drill a hole for these to work.
Love the price, love the shape and feel of these, but please update the description.
