Repurposed but an excellent starting point

I needed a main spring for an 1886 Lebel rifle. Thanks to the internet, I found the Remington 700 spring is a good match for diameters and strength. One 700 spring is twice the length of the Lebel so now I have replaced a broken spring wit a far superior one and as a bonus I now have the other half as a repair part for future needs. Thanks much!

If you have a Gre-tan firing pin and have trouble ordering the spring elsewhere look to Midwest. They will get one to you pronto.
The springs themselves are high quality and won’t snake like a factory spring.
