I would make the slide release reversible not ambi as it adds to width...900+ rounds, all kinds of brass and steel case...it eats them all.

I had heard about the Canik TP9 series and most reviews were good. It is my understanding that all of the negative reports were older reviews and that was because the Caniks were originally designed for military use with +P ammo. They do make and sell lighter weight recoil springs if you have any issues with light bullets I bought mine over a year ago. First off, all of the internal moving parts are nickel coated and they work smoothly and that is apparent through the trigger, The pull itself is quite nice. Better than most I've tried. The first time I took it out I put 10 rounds each of several brands and weights of defense round bullets. I started with Norma's JMP (Jacketed Monolith Point) 105gr, 115gr, 124gr, 147gr JHPs. I encountered no issues. Then I switched to FMJ range rounds, 115gr, 124gr, 124gr +P (NATO) and some 158gr. It ate everything I fed it. I have not encountered no issues of any kind. I installed Night Fision, night sights on it. It is an accurate and a reliable pistol and it is my EDC.
