Description: Traditions Kentucky Pistol Muzzleloader Kit, Percussion, .50 Cal. One of the best ways possible to get a real hands-on muzzleloading experience is to build it yourself. This muzzleloader pistol kit makes a .50 cal Percussion Pistol with a 10" Octagonal barrel, fixed tang, 1:16" twist rate, fixed/blade sights, and single trigger. This pistol kit is pre-assembled at the factory to ensure proper fit and ease of assembly. These kits are the perfect project for families to build together or to help pass those long winter nights. Easy-to-read instructions guide you through the building process to a finished product. There is no greater feeling of accomplishment than knowing you built the pistol you enjoy shooting so much.

The parts almost fit perfectly. I used some tools to carefully trim the wood to fit. You might need to carefully bend the trigger guard to match the wood stock. Others had trouble with that. The guard msy be a bit brittle. I heated the part with a torch and then when it was more pliable I bent it to match. I polished the metal dome andBluing or browning the barrel as desired too. Finishing the stick is no big deal, done sanding and finishing with extra fine steel wool.
