Description: Lancer Systems AR-15 Carbon Fiber Handguard, Octagon w/ Rail, 13" Rifle Plus Length. This handguard is 14.60" long, is M-LOK compatible, and has a full length rail at the 12 o'clock position. This lightweight hand guard is designed to fit standard M4 / AR15 upper receivers and variants. Made of carbon fiber with an aluminum reciever extension, this weighs only 13.49 oz. with the full length rail. The cooling slots provided help reduce barrel temperature and also allow the installation of M-LOK accessories. There are also slots at six o'clock for an accessory rail and holes for a sling swivel stud for attaching a bipod. The hand guard is a free float design comprising of a custom octagon shaped carbon-fiber handguard tube connected to the upper receiver with a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver extension. An upper receiver extension machined from 7075-T6 aluminum is provided to attach the carbon tube to the threads of the upper receiver. This, along with a QPQ nitrocarburized barrel nut, makes the free floating handguard an integral part of the rifle providing an extremely secure connection.

Note: Free float design installation requires the removal of the rifle's barrel and specialized knowledge in AR rifle disassembly / assembly. It is recommended that this part be installed by a qualified gunsmith.
